Mindful Moments is a wellness and mindfulness app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we collect.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Account information — your email address and a hashed (never readable) password when you create an account.
- Wellness data — mood logs, journal entries, meditation session history, streaks, goals, and challenges progress that you create inside the app.
- Photos — only if you choose to add a photo to a journal entry or your Gratitude Wall. Photos are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide cloud backup and cross-device sync of your wellness progress.
- To restore your data when you log in on a new device.
- We do not sell your data to any third party.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your wellness data is stored on your device using local secure storage. If you have an account, your progress is also backed up to our servers hosted on Replit (United States). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and store passwords as secure hashes.
5. Photos & Camera
The app requests access to your photo library and camera solely so you can attach photos to journal entries and your Gratitude Wall. Photos remain on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. You can deny these permissions at any time in your device settings; the rest of the app will continue to work normally.
6. Children
Mindful Moments is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Your Rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. You can also delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the app.
8. Mental Health Disclaimer
Mindful Moments is a general wellness application and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or a crisis helpline. The app includes an Emergency Resources screen with crisis hotlines.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
